Dr. Rebecca A. Cook is a native of Phoenix Arizona. She is geriatric and internal medicine physician serving Scottsdale, Arizona.
She completed her undergraduate studies at the University of Arizona in Biochemistry. She then did research for the University of Arizona and Tucson Veteran’s Medical Center. This research focused on Valley Fever and the testing of new antifungal drug treatments.
She went on to get her medical degree from the University of Arizona. From there Dr. Cook did her Internal Medicine residency at St. Joseph’s Hospital & Medical Center. Upon completion of her residency, she became the Chief Resident of Internal Medicine. Dr. Cook became a board certified Internist but was still interested in Geriatric Medicine. She then went on to do a fellowship in Geriatric Medicine in Sun City in Arizona. She has been in practice for more than 30 years.
Dr. Cook’s expertise is in treating rheumatoid arthritis, coronary disease, dementia, diabetes, among other conditions. She is well versed in physician reports, POLST, medicine reconciliation, and other Assisted Living Community paperwork.
